OUR EXHIBITS
We created a Migrant Worker Wall to display the contributions of the many migrant workers in the area. This project was sponsored by Ricardo Ordonez, who was born and raised in Oxnard and whose family has ties to agriculture since the 1920s. David Kesterson from Lauterbach & Associates donated the plans for the portable display, and Dennis Kroneberger answered the call to build it.
We are home to an exceptional collection of Vintage Farm Machinery, including two unique lima bean threshers from the Ventura Implement Company and an array of historic tractors and plows. This collection shows the evolution of agricultural technology and visitors can delve into the agricultural heritage of Oxnard through this curated selection of mechanical marvels.
We have meticulously gathered a vast and remarkable collection of Photographs and Ephemera, chronicling the rich tapestry of Oxnard's past. This extensive compilation offers a window into the area's diverse history and heritage, from its early agricultural roots to its vibrant community life. Visitors are invited to explore the unique stories and moments that have shaped Oxnard.
The Chumash Garden at the Oxnard Historic Farm Park was established in 2015 to highlight plants used by the Chumash people of Southern California. The garden also provides the public with examples of plants and practices that residential gardeners can use to conserve water, reduce maintenance and pollution, and still offer beauty and a habitat for wildlife.
